Custom Processing

At YFM we offer a wide range of custom processing. Slaughter, cut and wrap services are available for pigs, lamb, and poultry. 

We offer aging, cut and wrap services for beef. Slaughter services anticipated to start March 2024.

POULTRY PROCESSING INFO

BOOKING 

PLEASE NOTE ALL 2024 DATES ARE FULLY BOOKED FOR POULTRY PROCESSING - To be added to the waitlist, please email yfmeats@gmail.com.

To book in your poultry for processing, please email yfmeats@gmail.com

Minimum requirement of 25 birds or 5 turkeys to book in for slaughter/processing.  

We require a $1/bird deposit to book in your poultry processing date. This is non-refundable in case of cancellation. The deposit will be credited to your final invoice. 

We will call to confirm your processing date one week prior.

Withhold feed for 12 hours before scheduled delivery. No need to withhold water. There will be a $2.50/broiler and $5/turkey fee for fed birds. 

TRANSPORT 

Birds must be transported in crates. Crates can be rented for $5/crate (1 crate holds 8 birds). We will not accept birds in anything other than poultry crates. 

Crates can be picked up from the farm at a scheduled time prior to your processing date. 

Birds are to be delivered morning of scheduled processing date between 6:15-6:45am. 

A late fee of $50 will be charged for every 10 min that you arrive past your scheduled time slot.

PROCESSING/PACKAGING/PICK UP

We can harvest necks and feet for an additional $1/bird. We do not harvest organs for chickens at this time. 

For turkeys: Neck, heart and liver will be harvested and provided at no additional cost. 

Birds come fresh in standard shrink bags.

Custom labelling is available with for a $25 scale programming fee. 

Pick up is the same day as drop-off between 4:45-5:15pm. Birds will be fresh, chilled, but not frozen. Entirety of order must be picked up by one individual altogether. 

We recommend bringing coolers for transportation. 

RED MEAT & PORK PROCESSING INFO

BOOKING

To book in your red meat for processing, please contact yfmeats@gmail.com

A deposit of $250 is required upon booking for producers bringing 2 or more beef, 5  or more hogs and 5 or more lamb. Payment is required to place booking and is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. The deposit will be credited to your final invoice. 

We will call to confirm your processing date one week prior.

Withhold feed for 12 hours before scheduled delivery. No need to withhold water. There will be a $30/animal fee for fed lamb/pigs and $50/animal fee for fed beef. 

Fill out cut sheets prior to arrival. Please bring your physical cut sheets and any questions you have with you when you drop off your animals. 

All animals MUST be tagged with the applicable tagging program. 

TRANSPORT  

Animals to be transported in a livestock trailer. 

We reserve the right to turn away animals that have not been transported in a suitable trailer. 

Please check in with a staff member before dropping off your animals and provide your cut sheets. 

A late fee of $50 will be charged for every 10 min that you arrive past your scheduled time slot.

PROCESSING/PACKAGING/PICK UP

See relevant cut sheets for processing and packing info. Please note, we do not provide any value added processing at this time (sausage or curing). 

Pick-up time will be scheduled at the time of the animal drop-off. Entirety of order must be picked up by one individual altogether. 

Late pick ups will be charged $30/day.
